A well-designed and implemented telemetry system makes the difference between a reliable, low maintenance network and a time-consuming exercise in frustration  that compromises  network objectives.  Nanometrics' design team is well-trained and experienced in all aspects of network planning using the best possible telemetry solution.

Our telemetry networks use Nanometrics' own purpose-designed and built seismic VSAT equipment, fixed frequency VHF and UHF or 800/900/2400 MHz spread spectrum technology or combinations thereof.

Some of our customer networks employ hybrid schemes with Nanometrics Libra VSAT remotes acting  as aggregation points for other stations fed via radio telemetry.
 
Successful telemetry networks are a combination of network design, equipment features and experienced installation personnel. Nanometrics delivers it all with a turn-key, no hassle approach.
 
What makes network planning so vital is that it takes into consideration the many variables at the design stage. Such factors  include data-throughput, network size (number of remote stations and geographic coverage), topology, topography, budget, regulatory  environment and data availability and latency requirements.

We also use state of the art tools including path engineering software and worldwide terrain databases in  evaluating  system performance, eliminating  time consuming and frustrating  trial-and-error tactics.

Equipment
 
Nanometrics carefully selects all equipment, including antennas, cabling, connector and lightning protection. 

We also produce our own communications control equipment with unique capabilities not generally found in other products. These features include serial port TDMA and flow control and outdoor environmental housings to eliminate the need for additional shelters. 
 
Installation
 
A solid  design and the right equipment are only part of the solution. The final element is the commissioning process in which the design must be successfully implemented. This is carried out using the talents and training of our experienced installation specialists.
