Taurus is a revolution in the integration of performance, capability and packaging in a field portable seismograph. It is an all-in-one design that is small, lightweight and complete. This hand-held instrument can directly interface with almost any sensor, record continuous data for over 600 days, and operate using a mere 680 mW. This next-generation portable combines all the attributes of a stand-alone recorder with the connectivity required to harness the benefits of today’s Internet, wireless and VSAT communications. Regardless of the application, you will appreciate how little equipment you will actually need to carry to the field when you have a Taurus. No need for a laptop, PDA or breakout box, just a seismometer, cable, battery and your Taurus. |

Data recorded on a Taurus can be recovered either via the 100/10 Base-T Ethernet port or by removing the media and plugging it directly into a computer system. In either case, a standard web browser provides the user with the option of downloading selected events, lists of events or the complete data set. The latest Taurus software supports direct data download in MiniSEED, ASCII, SEGY and SEISAN. |
