New VP, Seismology joins the Nanometrics team
Nanometrics is pleased to announce that Danny Crossman has recently joined us as VP, Seismology, where he will lead the seismology sales and operations teams and provide strategic leadership and direction as the company enters its fourth decade.
Originally from Wales, Danny served for more than 10 years in the British army as an explosives technical officer. Following this, Danny spent over 25 years leading business development, innovation, product management and development, and organizational transformation initiatives, with companies such as Med-Eng and Rheinmetall Canada. Danny was also CEO and co-founder of The Shockbox, where he and his partner developed the world’s first consumer helmet sensors for detecting sports head impacts. The company was acquired by i1Biometrics in May 2015.
Danny has a BSc in Explosive Technology from Cranfield University in England, a project management designation from the Association of Project Management in the UK, as well as a Master of Arts from Tyndale University.
Danny offers a wealth of experience in sensor technology, data science and consumer electronics, SaaS, wireless sensors and cloud software for health and big data customers and defence technology markets.
Danny is a member of the Athlete Intelligence by i1 Biometrics board of directors and regularly volunteers for organizations that fight child poverty and homelessness.
