The SCRIPPS Institute deployed a fleet of OBS units incorporating the Trillium 40 in 2004. The success of this project led to the upgrade of these units to incorporate the new Trillium 240 VBB seismometer. Fifteen of these new units have recently been deployed off the coast of Hawaii in a joint, one year, monitoring experiment. |
