Evening Shift Opportunities

 

We are looking for skilled Mechanical Assemblers to join us on a contract basis in order to assist with our production team. You will play a critical role in the assembly and production of our seismic sensors. We are looking for someone who has strong attention to detail and is passionate about hands-on work!

Responsibilities:

  • Assembly of products using bolts, screws, clips, soldering tools, and assorted fasteners
  • Efficient production of products according to established procedures, following all safety protocols and workplace policies
  • Read and understand assembly instructions, schematics, blueprints and other technical documentation
  • Fasten electro-mechanical components together using hand and power tools with strict adherence to assembly instructions with the highest regard for safety and quality
  • Assemble harnesses and cables to IPC-620 workmanship standards
  • Soldering Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA) to IPC-610 workmanship standards sometimes including very fine wire using a microscope

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Post-secondary diploma in a related field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience as a Mechanical Assembler
  • Strong computer skills are necessary
  • Knowledge of workplace safety, safe lifting and product handling procedures
  • Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
  • Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
  • Ability to occasionally lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labour
