    Network design for induced seismicity monitoring is of critical importance. In many applications, networks for induced seismicity have specific criteria with respect to minimum detection magnitudes and the accuracy of event locations. With the introduction of regulations on induced seismicity monitoring (for example in Ohio), accurately quantifying performance has become a necessity. One of the key difficulties in designing a network rests in determining whether or not the network meets these criteria without first developing an earthquake catalogue. We are developing a method to assess fundamental measures of network performance such as magnitude of completeness without an earthquake catalogue. In this study we seek to validate the results of the predictive method by comparing the predicted magnitude of completeness to observations from an earthquake catalogue.
